Canaan Fir has been shown to have better needle retention than even the
Fraser Fir, which is the tree that all others are measured by. Some
people have described this tree as the one that will replace the Fraser

White Pine - With

tree for someone who does not like the feel of sharper needles as those
found in the spruce family. This tree is native to Michigan. If you have
